Choice
criterias :
Display (7" to 12") and
Resolution -
Weight (0.9 Kg to 1,6 Kg) - Hard disc or Compact Flash - Autonomy -
Operating System - Wireless
(WiFi, BlueTooth, GPRS / HSDPA) - Ruggedness (water, dust, choc,

client or full PC features - Pointing devices (finger or stylus) The
name "Tablet PC" includes mutliple product categories. It was used by
Microsoft in 2001 to launch a product category which was a slate form
factor, with digitizer pen, running windows XP tablet. Other slates
that did not comply to Microsoft's definition were introduced : finger
touch slates instead of digitizers, other operating systems such as
windows XP embedded on flash, windows XP pro or windows CE.Net and
rarely Linux. Since 2005, the main computer brands use the
termTablet PC for convertible notebooks, which are regular notebooks
with a keyboard and a rotating LCD screen with touchsurface instead of
a regular LCD screen.
